PracticeProfiles takes your privacy seriously and is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information. In handling personal information, we comply with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other Australian laws relating to the handling of personal information (Privacy Laws).
PracticeProfiles may collect your personal information (PI) directly from you, or from your organisation. The personal information we collect will vary – but can include your name, contact details, answers to questions and surveys and (if you are a practitioner and your practice consents) information about the clinical treatment of de-identified patients &/or patient groups.
We collect information about you when your organisation uses or asks to use our services, or when you communicate with us. We also collect such information if you are providing services to us or apply for employment with us.
We only use your personal information for purposes for which we collected it or directly related purposes or if you agree. These can include us providing services to your organisation, evaluating our services, inviting you to participate in research, informing you of new programs, seeking feedback and helping us comply with terms we’ve agreed with your organisation. If you don’t provide your information, we may be unable to supply some aspects of our services to your organisation.
We hold PI in electronic and hard copy form, and on Microsoft’s secure Azure platform.
We don’t disclose personal information to third parties. Personal information we collect will only ever be disclosed by us back to your organisation.
We may share data with third parties in un-identified form, if we have the written consent of your organisation. This shared data does not comprise personal information.
You can request access to/update of your information, and complain about our handling of it. We will address such request/complaints promptly (within 30 days for complaints)
